My role here at Living Streams is
diverse, but there are some common threads that run through all of
the areas.
I oversee the Men's Ministry,
Prayer Ministry, Homeless Ministry, Couples
Ministry, Baptisms and the Assimilation of New Members.
The Men's Ministry is healthy
and growing.

We have an active Prayer Ministry,
which includes a prayer chain that prays over needs daily. We have a
monthly fasting day with a prayer meeting held the first Friday of
each month at 5:30 pm in the sanctuary. I also lead a weekly prayer
meeting in the sanctuary at 12:30 pm every Thursday.
The Homeless Ministry is
joining together with Neighborhood Ministries to serve the poor with
food distribution, clothing sorting and distribution, a medical
clinic and many other opportunities.
The Couples Ministry is
something new. While we already have some small groups for couples,
we have seen a need for more, so we now have a monthly Couples
Fellowship at different homes each week. Each of the meetings
feature speakers and times of meaningful fellowship. My wife and I
are also teaching a Young Married Couples Sunday School Class on
Sundays at 10am in the Fellowship Hall.
We believe that Baptism is
very important, and at various times in the year we schedule baptism
services at homes to make the experience an intimate time. Those
being baptized can invite their friends and family for a meal and
witness the event.
When someone first joins Living
Streams, we want to help them learn who we are, what we believe and
how they can get connected, so we have a luncheon meeting called
Vision & Purpose, followed by a 4-week series of classes called
the Foundation of Faith. After that, we offer a class called
S.H.A.P.E. to help them find their ministry here.
My heart is for the people of Living
Streams to truly be a community of believers that connects, thrives
and experiences the genuine life of Christ. I love to see people
discover and use their God-given gifts together, and in ways that
may be new and creative. I believe that when each family is healthy
in the Lord, it affects the whole spiritual family. My desire is to
see personal touch ministry continue as we grow and glorify Christ. |
