Bring in the Harvest
I woke up this morning with the Spirit speaking to my heart, “I'm going to bring in a harvest.”
Jesus told us to pray that the Lord would send workers to bring in his harvest. The harvest God seeks is people who are lost and disconnected from his love. Many people in our society are disconnected from God's love and grace. We are called to bring them into our community. I want you to be aware that there are people around you who are ready to hear about Jesus Christ. You don't have to have all the answers for them. You simply need to make yourself available to share the grace and truth God has given you with those you meet.
My sermon this Sunday is called, “Overcoming Faith” from Hebrews 11. The men and women listed in Hebrews 11 were all commended for their faith. They were not perfect people. They each had issues in their lvies to overcome. In the end, they chose to trust God and he was pleased with them and used them to do his work.
Jay Murphy is preaching in our Saturday night service. His message is called, “Know Who You Are,” from Judges 6. Jay will show how God took Gideon, a man who felt weak and insecure, and used him to do mighty things.
Our God can use each of us to do mighty things in spite of ourselves, because his power is made perfect in weakness.
