Wisdom for a Fruitful Life
We have all seen big, beautiful houses and wondered who lives in the house and what kind of work they do. We are curious about how they could afford to buy a mansion, develop the grounds and furnish it lavishly. Proverbs 24:3-4 says, “By wisdom a house is built, by understanding it is established; and by knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”
My sermon this Sunday is called “Wisdom for a Fruitful Life” from Proverbs 1, 2, 6, and 8. We all have homes and families of various sizes. I'm not trying to help you get a bigger house. I'm interested in helping you build a natural and spiritual family that will give you an everlasting legacy of fruitfulness. Solomon's great temple and his palace are long gone. Yet, his legacy of wisdom still enriches our lives. Neither Jesus nor the Apostle Paul had any natural children. Yet each of us are a part of their spiritual family. We have inherited their legacy, their wisdom and their vision.
God is building a great house. He has lots of wisdom to give us as we cooperate in his Kingdom work. I look forward to sharing this wisdom with you as we gather for worship this weekend.
